While I love having you all as accountability partners, this is truly starting to feel like work. The initial hype is gone and I'm having to actually push myself to do better. I understand the health benefits associated with this self-imposed challenge, but knowing better and doing better don't always go hand in hand as they should.
Just in case you aren’t in the loop or need a refresher, I started this journey a few weeks ago so let’s pause for a moment so everyone can catch up.

Okay, so let’s chat about this past week… *sigh*
FYI (a little self-talk here...) - You can't eat it if you don't buy it, Kristina. Stay out of that aisle at the grocery store and you'll be fine.
I looked down at my growing bump several times this weekend and repeatedly told myself it’s time to start knocking out some sit-ups and/or crunches. Do you think I did any??
So let’s take a look at my daily step count courtesy of my Garmin Vivofit activity tracker…
Monday - 8,120
Tuesday - 5,690
Wednesday - 6,410
Thursday - 7,354
Friday - 5,722
Do you remember the previous week?
And I ate cake! A lot of non-fat-free cake! No yoga. Very little dancing. And a ton of cake!
What am I going to do to get back on track this week? I’m looking at a corner of my home office and thinking about investing in a piece of workout equipment of some sort. Please feel free to shoot me an email or drop a note in the Comments section below with your suggestions.
In the meantime... I will continue to rely on meal delivery services like Sun Basket, which has become our family favorite! Healthy food and amazing flavor! Go ahead and grab your three free meals by clicking the link below and let me know what you think!
I haven’t scheduled a massage or facial yet, but it's still on the list of thing to do. It's not at the very top of said list, but it's on there. A little pampering goes a long way. I just need to grab my planner and set aside time to make it happen.
We are really loving our recent commitment to being more social. Instead of going to a Meetup event this past weekend, we opted to have company at our house and just chill and laugh like old times.
There are a couple of events this coming weekend for us to choose from. Quick suggestion here… if you’re looking for family-friendly events in your local community and not quite sure if you want to go the Meetup route, take a look at your local library’s event page. There are usually monthly events with a little something for everyone.
So what's my plan to make this week better than last week?
Continue to share my story. Continue to tap into my circle. I know some of you exercise on a consistent basis. I'm looking to you for encouragement. I know some of you eat healthy each and every single day. I'm looking to you for suggestions.
It truly takes a village to implement and sustain healthy life changes. It's not enough for me to write this weekly blog post. I need to ensure my circle is supportive throughout the week as well.
As always, wishing you nothing but the absolute best…
